Maenporth beach more like the Sahara Desert

After the extremely strong east wind last Thursday night the road behind Maenporth beach looked more like the Sahara Desert.
On Friday Cormac were fairly quick to send manpower and equipment to remove the sand from the road. However, why did the Cormac lorries remove the sand from the area, why didn't they replace the sand back onto the beach?
Several years ago a local JCB owner who had the contract to remove the seaweed from Maenporth beach got into trouble for supposedly removing too much sand with the seaweed.
Goodness knows how many lorries full of sand were moved by Cormac on Friday and where did they dispose of it?
