Two decades of learning have been enjoyed by pupils at Penryn Infant School.
The school was officially opened on May 5, 1988 but as the day fell on a Bank Holiday this year it was decided to hold the celebrations on the Thursday before, the first of the month.
Pupils were allowed to wear their own clothes to school and during the afternoon they enjoyed dancing and games in the playground.
The 20th anniversary celebrations were finished off with cake and ice cream.
Anne Lanc, deputy head teacher, said: "The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to mix year groups in fun activities and games. It was brilliant."
