Teachers have scrapped all lessons at a Falmouth primary school to hold a "week of excitement" in celebration of an outstanding inspection report.
Pupils at St Francis school will enjoy a week of dance, art and theatre with visiting entertainers alongside plenty of parties, games and fun.
Staff have planned the week of fun to mark gaining the highest possible grade from inspectors from the National Society's Inspection of Anglican Schools.
This inspection focuses on assessing the distinctive Christian nature of the school and the leadership of the school as a whole.
The accolade follows a recent "outstanding" grade in a government Ofsted report.
Inspector Jenny Pestridge said: "This is a caring Christian community where the quality of the relationships between all stakeholders enables everyone to be the best they can be.
"High expectations, strategic and inspirational leadership combined with the nurture of learners by all staff are resulting in a dynamic school."
She added the school had established strengths, and through its distinctive character was outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners.
The report singled out warm relationships at the school, saying staff emphasise the importance of respecting and caring for others with a strong Christian ethos percolating all aspects of school life.
The effectiveness of leadership and management was also classed as outstanding with what the inspector called a "strong and well-established vision" informing a vibrant curriculum enriched by sensitive pastoral care.
Excellent links with the church and the wider community were also praised.
Head teacher at St Francis Claire Fortey said: "We are all absolutely thrilled to think we have reached the highest possible accolade in not one but two inspections.
"All of us involved with St Francis already know it is an exceptional place but there is something very special about gaining this recognition against national standards."
She said the celebrations planned for next week would be a wonderful way for them all to celebrate as a family.
"A family I am very proud of," she added.
