The White Tigers made it nine wins in a row and 16 games unbeaten on Satu rday as they defeated Winchester City 3-0 at Bolitho Park, writes Cameron Weldon.

A brace from Rocky Neal and a first home league goal for Daniel Sullivan gave City all three points, in what was a comfortable afternoon’s work for Paul Wotton’s side.

It was Winchester who had the first chance of the game with James Hamon being forced into a good double stop.

Neal and Harvey had shots blocked before they broke the deadlock on 28 minutes.

Harvey had a free kick pushed away by the keeper, but Neal was on hand to pick up the pieces and nod home from close range.

Harvey then saw an indirect free kick go narrowly over the bar before he saw an effort at the near post go wide as the opening 45 minutes came to a close.

A blistering quick-fire start to the second half blew the visitors away and killed the encounter.

City doubled its advantage less than 90 seconds after the restart.

Sullivan played a delightful cross into the box which Neal took full advantage of, heading home his 11th goal of the season.

Truro proved unstoppable and kept piling more and more pressure on the Hampshire-based visitors.

Adam Porter released a powerful shot toward goal but the keeper was equal to it before Sullivan blasted the ball over the crossbar.

Neal was then mere inches away from completing his hat trick. Shane White headed the ball across goal following a Will Dean pass. Neal was waiting but his looping header just clipped the top of the bar and went wide.

The third and final goal of the fixture came just before the hour mark as a relentless Truro finished the game as an encounter.

Dean played a great ball into the box to Neal who turned provider as he squared the ball across goal to Sullivan who had the simple job of tapping the ball home.

There was some late pressure from the visitors as Truro took the foot off the gas a bit but there were no chances of any real note that tested Hamon as City saw the game out to continue their fine form.
