The Carlsberg South West Peninsula League dinner and presentation night was held at St Mellion Golf and Country club with a healthy attendance of around 250 people.

The main sponsors, Carlsberg, represented by Maurice Sweeney (regional sales manager) presented the prize money cheques to the top three in all divisions with Bodmin Town receiving £2,500 and both Budleigh Salterton and Wadebridge Town £1,500 each. The Throgmorton Cup winners, Bodmin Town, received £1,500 and finalists Tavistock £800.

In total cheques to the value of £22,552 were handed out with £6,252 being money for the £2 a goal scheme.

Awards given out also included the Insure TQ Golden Boots presented by Mark Hayman to the trio of divisional leading scorers - Mark Berry (26 for Plymouth Parkway), Andy Westgarth (26 for Porthleven) and Nick Robbins (28 for the University of Exeter).

The award for the best referee went to Steve Annis of Helston.

Awards for the best grounds were decided strictly by clubs voting for their fellow divisional members and these saw Buckland Athletic named as best ground in the premier division, in the Western section the award went to Penryn Athletic and in the eastern section it was won by Okehampton Argyle.

Sportsmanship awards, sponsored by Cornish Homes, were based on the number of red and yellow cards accrued in league action with Holsworthy being the best behaved Premier club. Runners up were Launceston. In the west division Vospers Oak Villa were the winners and Camelford the runners up whilst in east the best behaved were the University of Exeter with Totnes and Dartington as runners-up. Each divisional winner received £300 and each runner-up £200.

The best programme award had three prizes. Third place went to Wadebridge Town (£200) with fellow west division side Penzance picking up second place (£250). The overall winners were Buckland Athletic and their editor Paul Hardingham. Buckland received £300.
