Despite cloud and rain first thing today, the Royal Cornwall Show lived up to its reputation within a few hours when thousands of people went through the turnstiles.

Although cattle and sheep entries were cut at then last minute because of blue tongue restrictions, there has been plenty going on.

Not least the relaunch of Trebah Gardnes, near Falmouth which this year celebrates its 21st birthday.

It was time for a makeover and a re-branding, and what better place to do it than the Royal Cornwall Show?

There were three flower girls helping to relaunch the brand alongside the main ring, the event preceeding the military day at the gardens at the weekend.

Elsewhere in the show there was plenty to see not least in the flower tent where Kehelland college students were celebrating with their display of all things edible.

This afternoon main ring attractions will include a display by heavy horses.

This year's show is very much flying the flag for all things Cornish, not least food and many displays show the variety that is now readily available in supermarkets and other outlets.
