The White Tigers return to action (weather permitting) on Wednesday evening when they host Bracknell Town at Bolitho Park in the Southern League Premier South with kick off at 7.45pm, writes Phil Westren.

The recent bad weather has played havoc on local football with countless matches being postponed. City’s eagerly awaited clash against Chesham United last weekend was one of those games that fell victim to the weather.

With that fixture cancelled it now, frustratingly, means City haven’t played for ten days with their last outing ending in a 2-2 draw away at Hendon.

Truro remain second in the table with 51 points from 23 games, five points behind leaders Weston-super-Mare, with the Seagulls having a game in hand.

City have started the new year well with four points from a possible six.

Home form hasn’t been an issue for Paul Wotton’s men this season. They remain the only side in the division to stay unbeaten on home soil so far this term, but they will know they will have to be at their best to get anything from the game against a top Bracknell side.

Jamie McClurg and Carl Withers Robins’s side are currently just outside the playoffs in 7th.
four points off fifth but have as many as four games in hand on teams above them.

Their record from their 20 matches this season is ten wins, six draws and four defeats which leaves them with 36 points. 20 of those points have been picked up on the road.

They are a free-scoring side with an impressive 48 goals so far. Only Truro and Weston have scored more this year.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides this season with the fixture originally scheduled for earlier in the campaign, but the game was postponed due to Bracknell’s excellent cup run.

They made it all the way through to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup where they were knocked out by League One giants Ipswich Town. Their cup exploits continued in the FA Trophy where they are just three wins away from a Wembley showdown. They are in the Fifth Round Proper having defeated Bath City 1-0 last weekend.

Their last league fixture ended in defeat however as they were beaten 2-1 by Chesham United. Prior to that, they were on a five-game unbeaten run in the league, so it’s set to be a classic under the lights at Bolitho Park.

Tickets for the fixture are available at the gate.

The free supporters coach from Truro will be travelling to the game. It will depart Truro Coach Park (Behind M&S) at 5:15pm. There will NO longer be a pickup at Indy House.
