A CARE home in Falmouth has celebrated its first year of serving the community with a party for the staff, residents, and their families.

Staff and residents, along with their families, commemorated the occasion with an afternoon tea party with musical performances from Sounds R Us, Ken Murphy, and Mel Bowman.

The care home’s chefs prepared high tea with lots of treats, and everyone toasted to the home’s first year with a glass of fizz.

The home regularly holds events and activities for its residents and surrounding neighbours.

Falmouth Court sits on the site of the former pub, the ‘Four Winds Inn’ which burnt to the ground six years ago.

General Manager, Haley Reeve-Larson said: “It is important to recognise the hard work of our staff here at Falmouth Court. For the past year, we have provided a caring home for our residents as well as the best possible environment for our staff.

"Today not only enables us to celebrate their hard work, but it's also an opportunity to thank the residents, their relatives and friends who have made Falmouth Court such a loving home.”
