ONE casualty has been taken to hospital with a serious head injury after a collision on the A393 in Cornwall.

The collision, which involved a blue BMW and a pedestrian, took place on the A393 at Burncoose near Gwennap in Cornwall at around 7.25pm on Tuesday, March 21.

The pedestrian, a 38-year-old male, was taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital by an ambulance.

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident to come forward and contact police via their website or by calling 101 quoting log number 655 of 21/3/23.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police investigating a road traffic collision on the A393 near Gwennap, Cornwall on Tuesday 21 March are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who may have dashcam footage.

"Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a blue BMW and a pedestrian on the A393 at Burncoose near Gwennap in Cornwall at around 7.25pm.

"Emergency services attended the scene.

"A 38-year-old male pedestrian sustained a serious head injury and was taken by land ambulance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

"Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank those members of the public who assisted at the scene.
