The popular golf week was held at Mullion Golf Club from Monday, June 23, through to Saturday, June 28. Over 600 golfers - members and visitors from within and outside of the county took part in the various competitions.

The weather remained kind throughout the week with the exception of ladies' day which was held on the Friday when it rained for most of the day.

Unusually, with so many players taking part no-one recorded a "hole-in-one" but two players recorded an albatross - Steve Ryder (Perranporth Golf Club) scored one on the 12th hole and Ian Stanley (Mullion) on the 15th.

The captain thanked everyone who had been involved with the organisation especially the greenkeeping staff who had presented such a challenging course for all the players.

The week was completed with a barbecue at the club.
