Cornwall play their third Minor Counties Championship game of the season on Sunday when Herefordshire are the visitors to St Austell (11am).

The sides have already met once this season in the MCCA Trophy game at Colwall in early May. Cornwall just scraped home by five runs in a game of 500 runs.

Since then Herefordshire's championship season has not got off to the best of starts. They lost their opening game to Shropshire, at Shifnal, by eight wickets. In the last round they only just avoided an innings defeat. Dorset won by ten wickets, inside two days, at Brockhampton.

Cornwall won at Truro last week against Shropshire by 54 runs. At lunch on the final day the game was in the balance with the visitors requiring a further 87 with four wickets remaining. However Cornwall wrapped up the game, inside an hour, as Rob Harrison made two important strikes immediately after the interval.

Harrison took six for 65 and Tom Sharp four for 32 as victory came midway through the afternoon session. Shropshire were dismissed for 143 in their second innings.

Cornwall are expected to play a similar line up to the team on duty at Boscawen Park apart from Werrington's Matt Robins returning for the unavailable Michael Munday.

Cornwall: T G. Sharp (capt), G M Thomas, M L Robins, B A Smeeth, A D Angove, K A Parsons, C A Hunkin, A G Smeeth, G D Edwards (Wk), R J Harrison, N Ivamy.
