Teachers from across West Cornwall were blown away by a wind energy event highlighting the latest developments in renewable energy last week.
The event at the Tremough campus on Tuesday 1 July brought 15 local secondary school teachers together with experts from the renewable energy industry and academics from Camborne School of Mines.
Designed to keep teachers up to date with cutting edge technology the day was part of the "Shape the Future - Steps at Work" programme sponsored by the Royal Academy of Engineering.
Science, Physics, Maths, Technology and Engineering teachers spent the day exploring cutting-edge renewable energy laboratories and the new wind turbine development at Roskrow Barton, next to the Tremough Campus.
Helen Fielding of Cornwall Education Business Partnership said: "This day was a superb opportunity for teachers to update their knowledge of the sector to support the curriculum and find out about the career opportunities for young people."
Dean Millar, lecturer in Renewable Energy at the Camborne School of Mines said the event showed the amazing higher education opportunities available in the county.
