A Cornish Pirates matchday collection helped raise over £600 for RSPCA Cornwall.
This charitable initiative took place when the Pirates played Hartpury at Mennaye Field just before Christmas.
It was orchestrated by supporters and representatives of the RSPCA.
Lucy Chappell, from the RSPCA Cornwall Branch, expressed gratitude towards the Cornish Pirates and their fans.
Ms Chappell said: "A big thank you to the Cornish Pirates and to their generous supporters who enabled us to raise over £600 on the day."
She also shared their delight over the exhilarating match won by the Pirates, and hoped for similar fundraising chances in the future.
The collected funds will stay in Cornwall to support the local RSPCA Venton Centre and the animal welfare services run by the branch.
Dressed in festive attire, the collectors were photographed alongside Cornish Pirates’ mascot, Captain Benbow, and player, Kyle Moyle.
RSPCA Cornwall is an independent charity adhering to RSPCA Branch rules, relying on the generosity of donations, sponsors and funds raised from charity shops for operation.
