UPDATE JANUARY 24: 

Police have said that Paul Batten, who was reported missing from the Penzance area, was found safely in Penzance a short time ago.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Thank you to all who shared our appeal."


The police are growing increasingly concerned for a 60-year-old man who has been reported missing from the Penzance area. 

Paul Batten was last seen in Penzance at around 8.30pm on Monday, January 22. 

The police have described Paul as a white male, of medium build, with grey/brown hair. 

Paul is said to be 5ft 6in tall and may be wearing a brown jumper, navy-blue tracksuit bottoms, black socks and possibly black trainers, as well as a grey and black Manchester City coat.

A force spokesperson said: "Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 60-year-old Paul Batten, who has been reported missing from the Penzance area.

"Paul was last seen in Penzance at around 8.30pm on Monday 22 January.

"He is described as a white male of medium build, with grey/brown hair.

"He is 5ft 6in tall and may be wearing a brown jumper, navy-blue tracksuit bottoms, black socks and possibly black trainers, as well as a grey and black Manchester City coat.

"If you have seen Paul, or know of his whereabouts, please call police immediately on 999, quoting log number 180 of 23 January."
