A man who went missing six weeks ago has been found safe by police.

Police had originally put out an appeal on February 23 to find 43-year-old Iain Gahan from Camborne, in connection with an alleged incident. However they later issued an update to say he was no longer wanted in connection with it and he was being treated as a missing person.

At the time, Devon and Cornwall Police said that Iain’s family were concerned for his welfare, and sought the public's help to trace him.

It was initally believed that Mr Gahan had most recently been seen in the Camborne area on Tuesday, February 20, but he was then thought to have been seen in London on Saturday, February 24.

Today, Friday, April 5 – 45 days after the original appeal was launched - police have confirmed Mr Gahan had been found safe and well.

A police force spokesperson said: “Iain Gahan, 43, who had been reported missing from the Camborne area, has been found safe by police.

“We would like to thank members of the public for their help.”
