Drivers are being warned of delays on the main road from Helston to Redruth today (Thursday) after an incident involving a car. 

The B3297 Penventon Terrace, Four Lanes is currently partially blocked in both directions following an incident involving a car which had overturned and was on its roof. 

Devon and Cornwall Police officers are at the scene of the incident which was said to have happened just before 3pm. 

Google Maps Street View shows very slow-moving traffic on the approach to the turning to Loscombe Road (opposite Victoria Inn)  and slightly further along on Penventon Terrace and past the turning to Deep Lane.

A traffic update from INRIX regarding the current traffic situation said: “Penventon Terrace both ways partially blocked, delays due to an accident, one vehicle involved near Deep Lane.”

The police have now shared an update on the incident. 

A force spokesperson said: "Police were called by the ambulance service to reports of a car on its roof at Four Lanes, near Redruth, at around 2.50pm today, Thursday 11 April.

"There are no reports of any injuries.

"The incident is ongoing."
