The Railway Inn will be overrun by University of Winchester students for the second annual Bandfest on May 12.

Organised by the University’s Music Centre, Bandfest24 aims to showcase bands formed by Winchester students. Dr Vicky Feldwick and a team of volunteers orchestrated the event that kicks off at 5.30pm.

A roster of acts such as Cheap Faith, Fruit Punch, and Foreign Haze is expected. Additional bands may also join in the fun at the pub in Fulflood.

Dr Vicky Feldwick said: "Bandfest is a chance for the students to showcase their hard work and dedication to music making while putting on a fantastic show,” said Vicky.

"The Music Centre seeks to promote music making in all its forms and is open to musicians studying any subject. There’s such a wealth of talent here and we want to share it with the people of Winchester."

Tickets can be purchased through the Railway Inn website.
