A fish and chip shop owner is casting his net further by taking over a business in Falmouth.

Gerald Henn has taken over Perham’s Fish and Chip Shop at Boslowick, which is his second takeaway venture.

Mr Henn already owns a fish and chip shop in Lanner and his son Andrew has now proved to be a chip off the old block by taking over its running while his father builds the business in Falmouth.

The plan is to change the name of the Falmouth shop to Bos’s Chippy, making reference to its position at the end of the row of stores and businesses at Boslowick.

Mr Henn said: “I think it’s got a lot of potential. There’s a good chance in the future that we may even open a restaurant next door.”

He itends to extend the menu at the takeaway by adding extra types of fish and bringing in new products such as southern fried chicken.

Mr Henn has now been welcomed to the area by Alan Hendy, chairman of the Boslowick Court association of businesses and residents.

Mr Hendy said: “I wish Mr Henn the best of lucky for the extension of his venture. I welcome him to the area on behalf of Boslowick Court and I’m sure he will be successful, especially with his vast experience.”

Mr Henn takes over from former owners Mark and Charlotte Perham.
