The grand opening of Falmouth's new cinema has been delayed due to unforeseen problems.
The Phoenix Falmouth had been due to open in the former Drill Hall building this Friday, but problems including water coming into the building had to be resolved before the launch.
Merlin Cinemas, which will run the cinema, has also had to wait for their news signs and a licence application is still be processed.
Geoff Greaves, from the cinema company, said they wanted to make sure everything was "A1" before the big launch.
By next week he hoped to have a firm date for the opening night.
