Torrential rain in West Cornwall today has caused further flooding and considerable chaos to motorists.

Severe weather warnings were issued for the day and have again been issued for tomorrow.

In Truro many roads were flooded and shopkeepers concerned having only mopped up after Tuesday's deluge.

In the Falmouth area many roads were flooded and drains blocked. Water running off fields had notwhere to go.

Motorists were being urged to take care when driving through flood water and to test their brakes.
