Constantine Carnival has defied the wet weather with a day of great fun for everyone.
Organisers say the event saw that a combination of great walking entries and floats combined with people eager to join in the spirit of the occasion.
Led by musicians from Pendennis Brass the parade was also flanked for the last time by an American colour guard of US naval staff based at RAF St Mawgan. They will be heading back to the USA when their tour of duty ends soon.
The carnival started with the ringing of bells to awake the village.
This year the carnival had some extra help from a mini town crier in the shape of Johan Dangler, aged just one and a half.
Peggy Cavanagh, who helps organise the event said: "The carnival queen and fairy kings and queens looked wonderful as did the whole carnival this year.
She said that Unfortunately the rain meant that the teddy bears' picnic and the baby show were moved indoors, but Andrew Cotterill made sure there was fun for all by joining in dressed as Andy Pandy.
Peggy added: "We would like to thank everyone for their help in making the event so successful.
The organisers have arranged a fun day on September 6 as some events had to be cancelled. The september event will see the much loved pantomime horse race, a barbecue and the release of glow lanterns.
It was a busy weekend in the village as the Constantine Brass on Grass event saw the village's streets reverberate to the sounds of brass band music.
Brass on Grass is the village's famous annual brass band festival. Featuring guest bands from around the area, the event began with a march through the village.
The concert takes place in a huge marquee on the sports field. Each band plays a selection of their best pieces and the concert concludes with a Mass Band Spectacular.
