Duchy College Rosewarne is offering a series of six week floristry courses aimed at those with a creative flair who would like to gain an insight into the world of floristry.
Under the guidance of teacher and florist Monica Beaumont, the first set of students have recently completed a short six week course learning how to make corsages and buttonholes and have thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Susanne Hatwood, a mature student on the course, is the owner of a small market garden and wanted to learn how to create flowers for weddings. She said: “I would highly recommend this course, I am thoroughly enjoying it and it will enable me to diversify my business.”
The next six week course will focus on hanging designs and garlands in time for the festive season and begins on the 12th November.
Monica Beaumont, Course Manager, commented: “These short courses are a great way to begin to learn about floristry. If you have a creative flair and a thirst for learning come along and have a go!”
