The Remembrance Sunday Service was led by Denis Basset of Helston. All those who died in the two World Wars as well as those serving in conflicts around the world at the present time were remembered.

The offering was taken up by Christopher Trounson and accompanist was Sybil Benney. Flowers were provided by Brenda Lawrance.

The appointed preacher for Sunday is Margaret Flinders of Helston.

Thank you to all who supported the stall at the Holly Fair on Saturday a total of £60.70 was made for chapel funds.

The annual Carol Service will be held on Sunday, December 20 at 11am followed by the annual Christmas Lunch in the village hall. If you would like to put your name forward for the Christmas Lunch please ring 241035 or 240889.

-The Holly Fair held at the village hall on Saturday for the Church Bells Restoration Fund raised a total of £148. Thank you to all who came. The next fund raising effort for this appeal will be shared between the church and the chapel and will be the Christmas Tree Festival at the chapel commencing on Friday, December 11, opening at 6pm by the Rev Sylvia Burgoyne. 7pm-8pm St Mellanus Singers will lead the singing of favourite carols.

Chairman, the Rev Shane Griffiths on Saturday, December 12, 10 am- 4pm and Sunday, December 13, 12 noon to 4pm, closing with the prize presentation of your favourite tree.

On Friday, November 13 the village hall are holding the annual Race Night. Come along for a great night out and support our sponsors. First race at 7.30pm. Bar and raffle with free entry.

The Christmas Draw is now ready for you to buy a square. There are some superb prizes on offer. The board will be open at all events held in the village hall from now until December 17 at 10am when the winning tickets will be drawn at the coffee morning.
