Falmouth is all set to showcase the best of Cornish film talent as the Cornwall Film Festival opens its doors on Friday.

Tickets have been selling fast for the event that runs from four venues around the town until Sunday.

Festival director Donna Anton said she was confident that the event was going to be a hit.

She said: "We have an interesting array of features on offer. We have a nice selection of Cornish features, Cornish shot films and footage from the Cornish archives.

"The festival has a very interesting mix and a bit of something for everybody."

The films will be shown at the Phoenix Cinema, University College Falmouth campuses Tremough and Woodlane, and the National Maritime Museum.
