Plans to bring a pharmacy with longer opening hours to Helston have been supported by the town's councillors.
Helston Medical Centre hope to build a two and a half storey extension onto the existing building off Trelawny Road, facing Trengrouse Way.
Centre manager Bob Boyce was at last Thursday's meeting of the town council's planning committee, when members discussed the proposal.
He said the surgery planned to work with Hall's Pharmacy in Meneage Street to create a pharmacy at the medical centre so that prescriptions could be bought by patients on site, although it would be open to anyone.
