A young chef from Camborne has landed a dream job working with Michelin star chef Simon Hulstone.
Jordan Bailey, has been offered the position of Commis Chef at The Elephant restaurant and bar, in Torquay, run by Knorr Chef of the Year 2009, Simon Hulstone.
Jordan has been working at at Rosewarne Manor for nearly two years and says he owes this achievement to his mentor over the past two years, Rosewarne Manor's head chef, Phil Thomas.
Jordan said: "Phil delivers quality training in all disciplines in the kitchen and has given me the chance to develop skills only used in the very best kitchens, such as butchery, ice cream making, pickling and preserving.
"He has really helped me to get to the position where I could take this sort of opportunity."
Simon Hulstone was enthusiastic about the new addition to his team, saying: "Jordan is a great lad with the potential to be a great chef. We could not ask for anything more from a new team member.
"The quality of the training given to Jordan at Rosewarne Manor is indicative of their high standards of chef development and will stand him in good stead for working at The Elephant, but also in his long term future career."
