The sight of a colourfully decorated Christmas tree will soon greet visitors to the Cornwall Blind Association’s Truro headquarters thanks to the generosity of visitors.
The association’s staff and trustees are encouraging visitors to the Newham Road centre to pay £1 to decorate a bauble for the tree in the foyer.
They will be given the choice of decorating their bauble with glitter gel, stars and pompoms either with the name of a loved one or a Christmassy design.
The money raised will go towards the charity that helps blind and partially sighted people in Cornwall.
Sarah Beedell, receptionist at the headquarters, said: “Not only is it great fun to decorate and create your own bauble for Christmas, you are also giving something back to blind and visually impaired people living in Cornwall.
“We are very grateful to Tesco of Truro, Lanhydrock Hotel, Trago Mills and the Spar at St Dennis who have kindly donated the baubles.”
