A gig in Truro has raised £290 for the Send a cow charity.
Local acts Lioness, Noah's Arkade and acoustic act Thom Weeks all gave up their time to perform at the gig on Saturday,November 21, held at Bar 200.
As organiser Frank Pellow is an employee of Barclays Bank he was able to get the money raised matched pound for pound, as part of their Community Investment 'Charity Begins at Work' Programme, bringing the total raised to £580.
The money raised will help people in developing countries build a sustainable future not reliant on future charitable gifts. The £580 will fund a donation of two dairy goats, a beehive, a sheep, a pig, ten chickens, a rooster, an orchard of fruit trees and a donkey.
Alongside the gig there was a colouring in competition that attracted more than 60 entries from all ages with the best entry chosen to be Grace Jackson, aged nine.
