Three young men from Helston given police bail after the death of a popular Falmouth man in a horrific late night car crash will have to wait until January 19 to see if charges are pressed.

Police confirmed that a 19-year-old, a 20 year-old and a 21-year-old were meant to answer their bail on Friday, however the bail has been extended until January 19.

It had already been extended from November 4.

Christian Vinnicombe died at the wheel of his Volkswagen Golf as he was travelling towards Helston on Sunday evening, August 2.

Three other vehicles were involved leaving two people seriously injured. The driver of one was arrested the next day in Helston on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police questioned the two other men shortly afterward.

A former pupil of Falmouth School, Christian was known to his friends as Chan, a name he had sprayed on the bonnet of his car.

Before he died he was due to finish a four-year apprenticeship at Pendennis Shipyard, in Falmouth.

Following his death over 400 people joined a convoy of cars, which toured the area in tribute to their friend.
