Falmouth Art Gallery given Linda McCartney book

Falmouth Art Gallery has "Come Together" with legendary musician Sir Paul McCartney after they were given a book of photographs from the Beatles star's late wife Linda.

After applying to Sir Paul for "Help," to receive a photogravure of Horse by Linda for their Hugh Stoneman printmaking archive, the book of photographs in a 2010 diary came with the print.

It included a personal message from Linda saying, "May your year be peaceful and happy, Paul."

Art gallery curator Brian Stewart said he was very excited to have the book.

"It's quite useful because Linda McCartney was a major photographer and met Paul when asked to photograph The Beatles. People don't really realise how brilliant a photographer she was."
