There are still ten days left to take part in the centenary of Falmouth Spring Flower Show.
The show is celebrating its one hundredth year and for this reason organisers want the two-day event, between March 27 and 28 at the Princess Pavilion, to be the best yet.
Exhibits will include growing and cut flowers, cacti, bonsai and shrubs. There will also be a display of scarecrows, photographs and flower arrangements, with a special class for men only under the title “Country Living.”
Young competitors can make edible necklaces or imaginary things from fruit and vegetables, decorate a flowerpot or make a miniature garden on a dinner plate.
Entry forms should be in by Friday, March 19. They can be got from Ron Scamp on 317959, Karin Shipman on 318386 or downloaded from line www.falmouthshow.co.uk.
The show will be open between 10am and 6pm on the Saturday and 10am to 4pm on the Sunday, with a £3 admission for adults and free entry for children.
