Falmouth children host Fairtrade tea party

Pupils from St Mary’s School in Falmouth did their bit for Fairtrade Fortnight by hosting their very own Fairtrade tea party.

The pupils in Class Five organised the morning by designing posters advertising the event, ringing around the local shops and asking for donations of Fairtrade products for raffle prizes.

They also produced and performed a Fairtrade Rap, organised a quiz and produced a tea and coffee survey which they completed during the morning.

The event was designed to raise awareness for the Big Swap initiative, encouraging families to swap their normal shopping for Fairtrade goods.
