Helston's library service will close this Saturday for just over a week and reopen in an updated building.

Since the beginning of the year library books have been kept at Helston Folk Museum and the service's computers in the One Stop Shop in Isaac House.

This was while the town's library was given a makeover and essential repairs, including rewiring the building, taking out asbestos and having new windows fitted.

With the work now in its final stages, the computers will be out of use from Friday and the books not available from Saturday, while they are moved to their old home.

Helston Library will then open again to the public on Monday, March 22 at 9.30am.

The old opening hours have been kept: 9.30am to 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday and closed on Wednesday.
