Drivers going between Falmouth and Truro will be faced with a night time road closure starting tonight while Cornwall Council highways staff carry out gully emptying works.

Warning signs said that a stretch of the A39 road between the Treluswell roundabout and the Devoran roundabout would be closed between 7pm and 7am for four days.

However staff from the council's highways department said that they expected the work to be completed by Wednesday as they empty the drainage gullies ahead of the winter weather.

The council’s official diversion route from Falmouth to Truro goes from Treluswell through Lanner and out towards Chiverton Cross before entering Truro to cater for HGVs but they advise local drivers to go from Carharrack towards Bissoe before rejoining the A39.
