A 63-year-old woman was taken to hospital on Friday after suffering a fractured skull after she was in collision with a car in Truro.
The woman, from the Truro area, is in a serious and life threatening condition following the incident in Frances Street at 2.20pm on Friday.
A blue Audi was in collision with the pedestrian as it reversed into a parking area, police have taken the car for examination.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident involving the blue K-reg Audi estate to come forward and contact police on 08452 777444 quoting police ref. 500 121110.
