Hundreds of people lined the streets of Truro last night for the annual City of Lights Festival to kick-start the city’s Christmas festivities.
Schoolchildren and community groups paraded throughout the city centre carrying withy and tissue lanterns depicting this year’s theme, myths and legends.
Live music and street performers were also on hand to entertain the crowds that lined the streets, who had a dry evening for the event after the torrential rain of the night before.
