The makings of a tornado were seen over Falmouth Bay this morning in the latest bout of bad weather that has hit the area.
Thunderstorms, hail showers and snow flurries have taken place this morning, causing treacherous conditions for drivers and forcing some schools to close and now a spectacular water funnel, a cone shaped cloud, was spotted in the bay.
A spokesman for Falmouth coastguard said: “The water funnel was right in the bay and there were ships nearby by it would not cause any damage. The funnel is now heading west.”
