A brave little girl fighting cancer will be lighting up Falmouth on Thursday, after she was the winning nomination to find the best person for the important job.
St Francis School pupil Chloe Edwards, seven, was named the winner out of those nominated as the best person to switch on the lights on the first evening of late night shopping.
Chloe has been battling a neuroblastoma in her bone marrow, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer, since aged three. She has seen tremendous support from the community and her school friends who have helped raise funds for her treatment, and it was one of her teachers that nominated her to turn on the lights.
See the full story and reaction from Chloe's mum in tomorrow's Packet.
