Carnon Downs drama group are hoping that audiences will be like six out seven dwarfs – not grumpy after they see their latest production on show next month.

After the success of their last show, War of the Worlds, members of the group are following it up with the timeless pantomime classic – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Directed by Ken Polmounter, group members say that rehearsals for the show at Perranwell Village Hall from January 25 to 29 are going well.

Julian Eley, who has been cast as Dame Edna Bucket, said that he was getting to grips with his new role.

“It took some getting used to but I’m now very comfortable playing the part of Edna, I’ve never been cast as dame before but it’s great fun and so, so different to my last role.”

The seven dwarfs are all being cast from junior members who will gain some valuable production experience.

The shows are 7.30pm each night as well as a Saturday matinee performance at 2.30pm with tickets for the show are £6 and £4 and are available on 08454 500 296.
