The head teacher of Mabe School gave an emotional goodbye to fellow staff and pupils today in his last day in the job.
After seven years, Nick Illsley is moving on to Stithians School and will be replaced by St Mary’s teacher Paul Hayes in the summer term.
Children and staff paid tribute to Mr Illsley at a special assembly today, featuring songs and dances in his honour as well as a giant cake and countless gifts and cards.
