Workers urged to join protest march

Disgruntled workers from Truro and Falmouth are being urged to join protests against Government cuts in London later this month. The local area's Labour Party have called on people to join a march in London on Saturday, March 26th.

The party unanimously passed a resolution, proposed by local member Josiah Mortimer, calling on everyone to attend. He said: "We encourage everyone to come forward and join this march which looks like being one of the biggest ever. "We hope our leader Ed Miliband MP and many other leaders of our party will be present alongside people from across the country".

Coaches are leaving from across Cornwall and anyone wishing to attend can look at the TUC website for coaches and contacts. A number of trade unions are sponsoring coaches for those wishing to march.

Stuart Roden said "we would encourage one and all to attend and tell this dreadful government what we think of their policies that hurt so many in society. "Here in Cornwall, already a poor county, we are losing jobs and services that people depend on and need."

The West Country - a known pillar of Conservative values in most areas. When even they rise up this terrible Tory-led government should listen to the genuine concerns of ordinary people. Something, so far they are conspicuously not doing!!!!
