Students have been combining exercise with fundraising at Duchy College Stoke Climsland's Early Years department with a 'jump off' skipping challenge.

They were raising money for the British Heart Foundation, the nation's heart charity, dedicated to saving lives through their pioneering research, patient care and campaigning to keep more hearts beating.

The students and staff from the Early Years department at Duchy College organised a sponsored skipping challenge.

The skipping challenge had students and staff skipping solidly for an hour working their way through a variety of activities from individual skipping to double Dutch skipping and obstacle courses.

Course Manager, Laetitia Mayne said: “The skipping 'jump off' was a fantastic event and I am proud of all the students for completing the challenge with such enthusiasm and energy.

“The students had a great time raising money for The British Heart Foundation which is such a worthy cause. I want to thank everyone who supported and sponsored the students.”
