Princess Anne will be visiting Falmouth later today for a tour of the area’s Maritime heritage.
Her visit to the town will include a stop off at Falmouth Docks, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
She will be given a tour of the site and meet some of the dock’s workers.
Visits will also be made to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Event’s Square, where the princess will see the museum’s lighthouse exhibition, and the new £1.3 million Mylor Yacht Club, which she will officially open.
Pupils from Mylor and Flushing primary schools are expected to be there cheering her arrival, following a journey along the River Fal.
While at the yacht club the princess will speak to volunteers who work with the Blind at Sea (BATS) project, which gives people with sight problems the chance to experience sailing.
Coverage from her visits, with photos, will appear in Wednesday’s Packets.
