Speculation is rife in Falmouth this morning that Brad Pitt has arrived in the town to start filming today.

Filming begins on the motion picture World War Z today, with hundreds of extras getting an early morning call.

In the last half an hour the yellow SD Salmoor, an admiralty salvage vessel, could be seen in Falmouth Docks with hundreds of people on deck, dressed in dark greens, browns and khaki clothing.

A separate man, dressed in beige, could be seen at the bow, separated from the rest of the cast, and the rumour spreading through the spectators was that it was Brad.

At the stern of the ship is what appears to be a large camera.

The vessel could then be seen leaving the docks and heading out into the Carrick Roads, followed by a flotilla of smaller craft including Falmouth’s pilot boat and a number of RIBs – thought to contain security guards.

Rumours that Brad was in the area were increased last night, when a luxury white Castle Air helicopter was seen flying over Constantine in the direction of Helston, at around 9pm.

When contacted Castle Air said one of the helicopters had been leased but they were unaware whether Brad Pitt was onboard. It had stopped at their base in Liskeard for refuelling and they were told it was heading for Fowey.
