A biker who died after a crash at Rame Cross yesterday evening has been named.
Mario Mastello, from the Penzance area, died from injuries sustained when his white Yamaha YZF R1 motorbike was involved in a collision with a red Peugeot 307 travelling in the opposite direction just after 8pm.
The two collided on the A394, outside the Halfway House Bungalows. Both vehicles then hit a wooden electricity pole.
Mr Mastello, 49, was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske, Truro but died a short while later.
The driver of the Peugeot, a 63 year-old man from the Helston area was uninjured.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information concerning the collision to contact them on 08452 777444, ref 751/23/08/11.
