Torrential rain failed to deter the 300 women taking part in this year’s Moonlight Memory Walk through Falmouth on Saturday.
At around 9pm, as the walkers were beginning to gather on The Moor ready for ‘the off,’ the heavens opened.
Everyone dashed for cover, with many huddling under a large canopy that had been put up to shelter the registration area.
However, the plucky women refused to let a drenching get in the way of what they were really there for: a walk in memory of lost loved ones, to raise money for the Precious Lives Appeal run by Children’s Hospice South West.
