Nearly £2,000 has been raised for charity at a memorial evening for a Falmouth biker.
Colin ‘Benno’ Bennett died from cancer earlier this year, aged 58, and the money raised will be split between Cancer Research UK and Cornwall Hospice Care.
The fundraising and memorial event took place at Falmouth Rugby Club on Sunday.
It had been planned to coincide with this year’s Martin Jennings Memorial Run, but this had to be postponed due to the weather forecast.
It is hoped the motorbike run from Truro to Falmouth, via other areas of West Cornwall, will instead take place on Sunday, September 25, weather permitting.
