A Hallowe’en masked ball with a 1980s horror-comedy film theme will be descending on Helston next week.
The Lost Boys Masked Ball will take place at Rosuick Farm and is themed around the 1987 cult classic move The Lost Boys, which starred Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric.
Top European electronic acts Drums of Death, The Glimmers, Mumdance and Bez from the Happy Mondays are all set to appear at the event on Saturday, October 29.
Kelvin Batt, who is helping organise the ball, said: “Alongside the line-up of top live electronic acts from across Europe the venue will also contain the Dr Von Hyde Ghost Train, which will transport you into the hidden ‘unfairground,’ the vampire hotel and The Psyko Circus tent, which will contain performance artists, acrobactics and fire shows.”
The event was held at the Sandsifter venue in Gwithian last year, but organisers decided to move to Rosuick for the extra space and natural features.
Kelvin said: “We are really happy to find a venue that allows us to get really creative and give the ballgoers a real experience.
“We’ve always strived to offer more than just a party in a tent, but sometimes you’re restricted by the site.
“Now we have woods and barns to transform we’ve really gone to town and I’m thinking this is going to be the wildest Hallowe’en party Cornwall’s seen for a long time.”
Tickets, priced at £30 including camping, can be purchased in advance from the ball’s website at www.maskedball.net.
