Forget the World Wide Web, Mawgan had its very own ‘web’ this morning, highlighted by the early frost.

This amazing sight was discovered by Sean Worsdell, a parent at Garras School, while he was joint leading the ‘walking bus’ for children that is run every Wednesday morning with fellow parent Ali Rand.

Ali, who sent the pictures in, said: “The field was drenched in cobwebs which were covered with the morning frost – it really felt like winter had returned. There were cobwebs everywhere and it was an amazing & beautiful sight.”

This morning caught many people by surprise, dawning as it did with low-lying mist and beautiful blue skies – the first for many weeks.
