A Culdrose search and Rescue member from Falmouth has raised money for charity after completing a treadmill marathon inside the Helston branch of Sainsbury’s.
Paul Smith, a member of 771 Search and Rescue Squadron based at RNAS Culdrose, ran the indoor marathon in support of the RNLI’s SOS Day.
Mr Smith ran consecutively for three hours and 55 minutes, raising a total of £389.71.
His ambition is to run the London marathon, to be held in 12 weeks time on April 22.
As part of his training, Mr Smith has already run two treadmill marathons.
